A Quest, a Sonnet
The full waters of love are deep and dark,
Raging with passion, ardor unrefined.
Potential detriment, a scorn so stark,
The risk makes reward all the more sublime.
Only one true love, the sages allow.
But practiced hearts in broken trusts defy
The greatest quests. So, heroes disavow
Those brazen exploits, conquer the awry.
Patience quells the full furious spirit,
Kindness quiets the wrecked weeping creature,
The gentle approach is ever so wise.
A tender touch heartens those who fear it.
Encouraging words become the teacher,
Victor of amour, conqueror of lies.
